IS (Irrigation Systems) Marlborough began when owners Dermot and Cathrin O’Boyle purchased land at the Narrows in the Wairau valley.

When setting up their irrigation, they experienced difficulties using existing suppliers. Resolving most of the issues themselves was an education. The experience taught them that irrigation companies need to see things from the owners’ perspective which is quite removed from the general attitude and normal practise.

Later arising from the knowledge gained from these experiences they were asked to install other people’s irrigation systems. Looking to assist anyone with an irrigation need they have built up a well qualified team with many years of collective experience.

IS Marlborough understands the need for excellence of design, knowledgeable well trained staff, and a clear understanding of the needs of the clients, to form the basis for happy partnerships and successfully commissioned systems

We know that there are many shortcuts and cost cuttings ways but have seen that these more often than not result in excessive ongoing running costs or the reduced life of the system.
